Bashar Jackson, also called Pop Smoke, his stage name Pop Smoke (July 20th 1999-February 19th, 2020), was an American musician and rapper. Victor Victor Worldwide & Republic Records were both his labels. Pop Smoke gained popularity as a Brooklyn drill producer after collaborating in collaboration with UK producers 808Melo Axl Beats & Yoz Beatz. It is remixed and produced by American rapper Nicki Minaj as well as British musician Skepta. Both songs came out in August of 2019. Pop Smoke dropped his smash single Welcome to the Party in April of 2019. The song served as the lead track on the mixtape he released his debut album Meet the Woo. This song has been remixed twice in different ways that include Nicki Minaj on it and the other with Skepta. Both versions were released on August 19, 2019. The song stands out due to the usage of UK drills, a technique that would be used throughout all his discography. This was due to regular collaborations with British drill maker 808Melo. After the popularity in the release of Welcome to the Party, He collaborated with a variety of artists for singles such as War featuring Lil Tjay or 100k on the Coupe with Calboy.
