Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was a television personality, a ex-chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and she was formerly an instructor of cooking. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares an easy and straightforward cooking techniques that are suitable for the home cook. Burrell is a chef who has been in the kitchen for a long time. Burrell is also an experienced chef of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has learned about Italy's food traditions and its culture and the surrounding geography. Burrell, who grew up within New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was where she studied after earning an English degree and a Communications diploma from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic learning experience. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was an excellent place to study. After graduating, chef Burrell was in Italy for one year studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She also worked in La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin star restaurant) in Tuscany. While in Italy she gained an appreciation and understanding of Italian culinary traditions. It made a huge impact on how she views food. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of struggling children. Additionally, she is a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Advocate in which she promotes awareness of young diabetics. She frequently travels around the nation in her capacity in the capacity of mentor and an invited speaker, where she talks about her career and love of cooking. Anne said she felt lucky in that she could share her true passion with the people around her.
